Although we are struggling to comprehend the vision streamed from Ukrainian towns and border areas with invading Russian military forces, the plight of refugees is not a new one. The UNHCR estimated that by 2021, 82.4 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced due to persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations or events seriously disturbing public order.
Action Research Centre Inaugural Conference

Action Research Centre engages in both evidence-based research as well as advocacy through partnerships. We are convinced that the research that is worth doing is that which takes the community experience as a starting point to reflect critically with the intention to effect social change. We use the tools of critical reflection, advocacy, community awareness and policy dialogue to create strategic intervention to reduce the impacts of family and domestic violence, reduce the risk of homelessness, and build a resilient and inclusive community.
